Summary

Test Process Improvement® or TPI NEXT® is the international standard for (test) organizations that strive towards lowering the cost of testing, shortening the time for testing and/or improving the quality of their test process. The TPI NEXT® model is used in two ways: on the one hand to measure the maturity of test processes and on the other hand it also provides a roadmap for improvements.

Context:

The test process is a crucial aspect of software development. The result of testing depends on the used test method.
TPI NEXT® takes a good look at the test process used by an organization. It provides insight into the maturity of test organizations and provides a step-by-step plan toward improvement, regardless the test method that is being used. The business drivers are key and developments such as Agile, outsourcing, multiple test processes and end-to-end testing are taken into account.
When applying TPI NEXT®, the cost of testing will be lower, the time for testing will be shorter and the quality of the test processes will be higher.
